01/About

I build and run the platforms other people's software depends on.

I work at the seam between infrastructure and software. My background is as a developer — Python, C++, REST APIs — which means when a deployment breaks at 2am, I can read the stack trace as well as the Helm chart.

Right now I deploy and support cloud-native telecom billing platforms at Matrixx Software, where a bad release is a billing outage for an entire carrier. Before that I wrote production software for semiconductor wafer test systems at Wolfspeed and built backend automation at Intel.

I'm focused on Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD — building the kind of deployment pipelines that make go-lives boring.

Cloud-native telecom billing platform — Kubernetes production deployments and REST API integration.

    • Deployed and supported Kubernetes production configurations for a cloud-native telecom billing platform, supporting 3+ production go-lives aligned with solution architecture, performance targets, and availability requirements.
    • Validated 20+ REST API integrations with Postman across MATRIXX platform components — verifying endpoint behaviour, payload integrity, and cross-component correctness before production release.
    • Resolved technical issues across the full delivery lifecycle (implementation → deployment → go-live → warranty), coordinating fixes between platform engineers and customer teams during live production windows.
    • Advised project managers on CI/CD readiness, infrastructure dependencies, and deployment risks prior to production cutover — surfacing blockers early and reducing last-minute delays.
    • Executed environment validation, configuration management, and stability verification during platform-to-production transitions, ensuring consistency across staging and production clusters.

Production software for semiconductor wafer test systems in a 24/7 high-availability fab.

    • Built and maintained production Python and C++ applications for semiconductor wafer test systems on Linux and Windows, supporting 24/7 high-availability manufacturing operations.
    • Owned end-to-end SDLC — requirements, design, coding, code review, validation testing — for wafer test software in a 24/7 fab environment, delivering production-ready releases on schedule.
    • Integrated automated data collection and process monitoring into wafer test workflows, improving yield visibility for manufacturing engineering teams.
    • Resolved critical production defects under uptime pressure, preventing 20+ minutes of unplanned fab downtime per incident.

    May 2022 — Mar 2024Remote

Cross-platform validation, backend automation, and enterprise tooling for distributed teams.

    • Built a web-based backend for automated test content distribution, cutting distribution time from ~2 hours to ~10 minutes and eliminating manual file transfers for distributed validation teams.
    • Integrated automated diagnostic scripts into Linux and Windows validation workflows, increasing diagnostic throughput across cross-platform environments.
    • Installed and maintained an enterprise tooling stack (RabbitMQ, Erlang, Visual Studio) across multi-platform lab environments supporting backend automation and integration testing pipelines.
    • Executed feature testing, integration validation, and QA across distributed remote teams, identifying defects pre-release in cross-platform validation pipelines.

Cloud-native billing platform, built the way production is built

A production-style microservices platform built end to end — application code, container builds, Helm packaging, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability. Built to demonstrate the full platform engineering loop rather than a single layer of it.

  • Architected a cloud-native telecom billing platform with FastAPI, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, and Docker multi-stage builds.
  • Packaged services with Helm charts — deployments, services, health probes, multi-replica configs.
  • Provisioned AWS infrastructure with Terraform (VPC, EKS, ECR) and automated end-to-end deploys via GitHub Actions.
  • Implemented Prometheus metrics, Grafana dashboards, and automated Postman API tests.

What I'm learning, building, and turning up to.

  1. Example post — replace this

This is placeholder text so you can see how an update looks. Replace it with your own words — a few sentences is plenty. Two or three short paragraphs read better on a phone than one long one.

Delete the `image` and `link` fields if a post does not need them; both are optional.
